Stay On Track with your Annual Plan!

Don’t you love the process of creating your plan for the year?

There’s something so delicious about catching hold of your vision for the coming year and bringing it down from ethers and into a concrete form that you can actually work with.

But Then What?

Sometimes that beautiful plan you created goes into a file on your computer, and that’s the last you see of it until you repeat the annual planning process next year. (You know it happens. By revisiting the plan regularly, it stays fresh, and you can adjust the means you use to pursue what matters most.

The Problem with Most Planning Processes

You see, the problem is that most planning processes are dull and tedious. They don’t get into the juicy, rich material that connects you to the big why, the reason behind what you’re doing.

Most planning processes simply have you pick a goal out of the air (How? Why? Which one?) and then break the goal down into bite-size pieces.

That’s a useful technique, but meaningless if you don’t understand the big picture of what you’re reaching for, and if you can’t pinpoint the right goals that are in alignment with your desires and intentions.

And the truth is, most business-building programs out there:

  • gloss over the planning process (hey, take 15 minutes and figure out your goals for the year)
  • don’t give you any tools to decide which goals are on target
  • don’t include regular times to revisit and rework your plan
  • charge lots of money to provide the year-long continuity that lets you stay on track
